Tennis

Climate and tennis are intrinsically linked, which is why Kenya is an ideal destination for a tennis tour. The sun shines almost every day of the year and the temperature rarely drops below 15 degrees. A network of private members clubs, prep and senior schools and hotels with tennis facilities are to be found in locations across the country that form the basis of the ideal tennis safari itinerary.

There is a vibrant tennis community in Kenya that encompasses the full spectrum of ages and standards from Prep and Senior School level through to adult club players and the National Team. The Kenya Open for professional level players is hosted annually at Nairobi Club.

The perfect mix for a tour includes competitive tennis in Nairobi and Mombasa, a two or three night wildlife safari to the Maasai Mara and some time on the white sand beaches of the Kenya Coast.

Bradford Grammar School’s recent 12 night Tennis Tour to Kenya featured 4 matches against local teams, five nights in Nairobi, three nights at a beach hotel in Mombasa, two nights on the overnight train to and from Mombasa and two nights at a luxury tented camp in the Maasai Mara.

Every itinerary is designed individually to suit the time and fixture requirements of each visiting group.
